CODE OF CONDUCT for Business Partners of Surovina d.o.o.

02.10.2024

Sustainable development is becoming an increasingly important part of the strategies of companies and organisations. What matters is not only the sustainable development of the company itself, but the assessment of sustainable practices throughout the entire value chain.

Surovina will, in accordance with the provisions of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and the amendment to the Companies Act, be required to prepare a sustainability report in 2026 for the business year 2025. In accordance with EU legislation governing this reporting obligation and the adopted ESRS standards that will guide us in preparing this sustainability report, we will have to report not only on sustainability indicators in our own operations, but also on the sustainable operations of our business partners.

For this purpose, we took the first step and adopted the Code of Business Conduct for business partners of Surovina d.o.o., which we will send to all our business partners for signature in the coming months.

The purpose of this code is to ensure that all our business partners (in the downstream and upstream supply chain) operate in accordance with the highest standards of business ethics, respect for human rights, working conditions and environmental protection. The code sets out clear guidelines and expectations regarding the conduct we expect from our business partners, in order to jointly create a responsible and sustainable supply chain. With this code, we want to promote transparency, honesty and trust in all our business relationships.
The code contains the commitment of our business partners in all three dimensions of sustainability:
  • Environmental dimension: Commitment to reducing the organisation's environmental impact (reducing emissions), to greater energy efficiency and making greener decisions.
  • Social dimension: Commitment to a positive impact on the community, the environment in which the company operates, and ensuring good conditions for employees.
  • Governance dimension: Commitment to ensuring high standards of corporate management and business operations (business ethics and integrity, quality assurance and management systems).
