Professional and complete fulfilment of obligations, as required by law.

Legal entities and business individuals are required by the Decree on Packaging and Waste Packaging Handling (hereinafter: the Decree) to use the services of waste packaging management companies (hereinafter: DROE) under certain conditions.

Packaging is anything that surrounds a good (product or component) and is intended to sell, protect or transport the good. When emptied by the end user, it becomes waste packaging and the responsibility of the person who first entered or placed the packaging, including the packaged good, on the Slovenian market.

Activities

When must a company use DROE services?

The person liable is a legal entity/business individual who first enters (from EU member states or other countries) or sells the packaging on the market of the Republic of Slovenia in a total amount of at least 15 tonnes, annually.

Acceptance of all liabilities

with regard to packaging waste management required by law.

Operation and management

of the packaging management system, optimisation of packaging waste costs and of other waste management, prevention of unnecessary packaging waste.

Compliance with the prescribed environmental objectives

(drawing up and inclusion in the DROE annual report).

Acceptance of waste packaging

from your yard or from your buyers throughout Slovenia.

Regular acceptance of waste packaging

from public service providers in the prescribed shares.

Educating your employees

on proper packaging waste management and support for inspections.

Professional support

in the field of packaging waste management, and support for inspections.

Informing

about the expected changes to packaging and waste packaging legislation, and help with establishing a system after the change.
